Garden plant hangers are typically constructed as a U-shaped rail or frame. The vertical and horizontal rails of the rail or frame are often provided with a wire mesh or weft for reinforcing the frame. The horizontal and vertical rails are configured so that the inversion of the rail or frame to the upside of the vertical portion of the rail is simple, easy and quick. In addition, since the hangers are easily handled, garden plant supports are widely used by horticulturists and landscapers.

The current garden plant hangers are configured as the following two types, which are described with reference to FIGS. 1A and 1B.

A) Hanger 1 (see, for example, JP-UM-S-55-122879)

As shown in FIG. 1A, the garden plant hanger 1 is constructed of a rectangular wire mesh 2 that is formed of a plurality of fine strands or the like wire twisted together, two lower horizontal rails 3, two upper horizontal rails 4, two vertical rails 5, and three thin round rods 6. The horizontal rails 3, 4 are disposed in the rear of the top side of the rectangular wire mesh 2, and the vertical rails 5 are disposed on the lower portion of the vertical portions of the horizontal rails 3, 4. Three round rods 6 are disposed at equal intervals on the upper side of the rectangular wire mesh 2 at the top end of the horizontal rails 4, which extend to the rear of the rectangular wire mesh 2 in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the rear edge of the rectangular wire mesh 2. The horizontal rails 3, 4 are made such that their upper ends are bent upward at the midpoint of the width of the rectangular wire mesh 2. The round rods 6 are inserted and fastened to the upper ends of the horizontal rails 3, 4.

With this garden plant hanger 1, the horizontal rails 3, 4 are bent up at their upper ends, and the round rods 6 are inserted and fastened to the bent portions of the horizontal rails 3, 4. The hanger 1 is inverted and mounted on the bottom surface of a rectangular, frame-like concrete wall or the like of a house or the like. The round rods 6 are fastened and locked with the upright walls (or the like) that surround the concrete wall, so that the hanger 1 is stably supported. In this way, the garden plant hanger 1 is fixed to the bottom of the concrete wall, and the end portions of the horizontal rails 3, 4 are exposed and can be placed in the way of garden plants.

B) Hanger 2 (see, for example, JP-UM-S-57-2424)

As shown in FIG. 1B, the garden plant hanger 2 is constructed of a rectangular wire mesh 7, two horizontal rails 8, and two vertical rails 9. The rectangular wire mesh 7 is in a U-shape when the hanger 2 is viewed from above. The two horizontal rails 8 are disposed on the left and right of the front side of the rectangular wire mesh 7. The two vertical rails 9 are disposed at the rear side of the rectangular wire mesh 7 and on both sides of the upper portions of the horizontal rails 8. Two intermediate round rods 10 are disposed on the upper portion of the rectangular wire mesh 7 at the upper ends of the horizontal rails 8, which extend in a direction that is substantially perpendicular to the rear edge of the rectangular wire mesh 7. The round rods 10 are inserted and fastened to the upper ends of the horizontal rails 8, and the hanger 2 is inverted and mounted on the bottom surface of a rectangular, frame-like concrete wall or the like. The round rods 10 are fastened and locked with the upright walls (or the like) that surround the concrete wall, so that the hanger 2 is stably supported. In this way, the round rods 10 are fastened to the upright walls (or the like), so that the hanger 2 is fixed to the bottom of the concrete wall.

In the conventional garden plant hangers, the horizontal and vertical rails are constructed of a plurality of metal rods fastened together with a wire mesh or the like.
